RE: My Lists - dug11 - 02-19-2015 12:39 PM

Don't know if you want posts interrupting your lists, but I clicked on this and saw you have Sally Field as number one for Lincoln. So happy to see someone else has her as their top pick. I absolutely loved her in that film, and I am still bummed it wound up being an also-ran when I thought it was going to go all the way. Great film.

RE: My Lists - dws1982 - 02-19-2015 01:34 PM

Glad to have any and all comments! Part of the reason I posted was to hopefully get a bit of discussion going over here.

I'll never understand what happened with Lincoln either. It had great reviews, it was a hit, had a dozen nominations, no real detractors or controversy, but it just faded away in the race, even after Affleck got snubbed and it looked like Spielberg could win Director.

RE: My Lists - Raybee - 02-23-2015 10:06 PM

Thanks for this. I have slacked in recent years and am still playing catchup with 2012, 2013, 2014. Well with 2012 and 2013 there are just a small few films that I still need to see, but I use other peoples as starting points to fill in some blindspots.
