RE: Golden Globes, SAG, etc.....
W&G is like a new show in a way (new buzz), and the HFPA love a new show.

RE: Golden Globes, SAG, etc.....
I have a hard time believing it will carry over at the SAGs and the Emmys. Maybe Hayes or Mullally can get a SAG nod since they used to crush their respective categories, but I would imagine that's about it.

RE: Golden Globes, SAG, etc.....
Rachel Brosnahan is the hot favourite to win at the GGs but I do wonder if the upset is on with Alison Brie getting to reenact her Audrey Hepburn accepting an Oscar for "Roman Holiday" impersonation from "GLOW"!?
https://twitter.com/mulholIandr/status/8...0772047872 She's kinda halfway there as she oddly looks a bit like Audrey tonight if Hepburn grew up in North America not Europe. https://twitter.com/debrabirnbaum/status...2314499074 |

Nope...it ddn't happen. Globes likely wanting to reward Brosnahan before the Emmys do but there's that unmovable monolith that is Julia Louis-Dreyfus to get past.

Never knew about this statistic...
https://twitter.com/Essence/status/950191176082247680 ...but the HFPA being ever so slightly conservative shoul and that it took until tonight for it to change shouldn't have been surprising. |

RE: Golden Globes, SAG, etc.....
Also another statistic in the TV catgories was ended which kind of surprised me but superficially shouldn't have considering how conservative the HFPA have been in their history.

Even so, the HFPA's often idiosyncratic TV choices don't tend to translate to the Emmy's. |
