RE: Golden Globes, SAG, etc.....
I thought they'd go for The Crown because it's British.

I won't spoil it, but will just say that it takes then like 45 minutes in the 2nd episode to accomplish something that should have taken maybe 15. I was done. |

It's cool to see her win, especially because she doesn't always get the "showy" character on that show. If you haven't seen the episode "Being Bow-racial", you should watch - one of the best things television has produced this season. Given that she has a birth episode coming up at some point, they are building a pretty strong narrative for her to be competitive at the Emmys this year...but of course we don't know what "Veep" has in store. |

Speaking of Veep, JLD's Globes TV record of 1-for-8 is interesting (especially adding in she only ever received 2 noms for Seinfeld and 1 for Christine).
But yeah, thrilled Ellis Ross got in a win somewhere. |

She's the first black winner in that category since Debbie Allen for "Fame" in 1983.

Olivia Colman explains why she was a no show at the Golden Globes as she didn't think she'd win and was getting ready to work on "Murder on the Orient Express" this week.

I'm over the "didn't think I'd win" bit. I get that many times there are prohibitive favorites, but there are usually surprises, and nothing at the Globes is a lock anyway. Plus you got nominated, so there's a chance. At least think of a damn speech! But whatever.

I wouldn't have gone either if I really wasn't feeling it either. |
