A really strong follow-up to last week's epic battle episode.

-Totally did not see Rhaegal's death coming, and it evoked a STRONG response from me. I screamed "Fuck!" about 385 times.

-Fucking Cersei needs to die. I hate this cunt so much.

-Missandei and her final words. :-(

-But...I hate what the writers are doing with Jon and Dany
We should all be unified in rooting against Cersei, but we have this damn "Jon is the true heir" bullshit on the side distracting from that, and they have ZERO chemistry, anyway. I do not care about their romance. I do not want to hate Jon, but these writers are making it difficult for me NOT to. Honor is his tragic flaw. Yes, Dany's is power, but I cannot NOT root for Dany after 7 seasons of doing so. And I hated the Starks this episode which has never happened. I hate how they are writing this part of it so much.

-Everything is pointing to Dany going mad. And, again, it has not been sold. I cannot just POOF stop loving her and wanting her to have the throne. But after Rhaegal, Jorah, and now Missandei...

-Clarke has an Emmy tape. I do not think she will win, but DAMN that opening and closing were stellar. NO WORDS. Just face. I fucking love her.

-Fuck you, Cersei.

Also, I hate that they are turning this into, "Cocks matter." And a man is going to have to come swoop in to save the day because of course the two women fighting are emotionally crazy. Of course.

I think signs are pointing to Sansa being the one to end up on the Iron Throne (which is crazy because I saw a YouTube video years ago, around season 4 or 5, that predicted Sansa, it would be crazy if it turned out right). She's level-headed, practical and devious but uses it for good. She went through pretty similar shit as Dany and Cersei but came out both stronger, wiser and more compassionate. Plus she comes with two siblings with superpowers. All that makes her the most qualified for the Iron Throne. So I'm thinking either Sansa or nobody.

After I loved the complexities of the women characters the first few episodes, we’re back again to most of them letting their dynamic with men define them. And the women being run by emotion. Except Arya.

While it’s true to life, it’s funny how everyone swears people to secrets they themselves can’t keep. Regardless I’m still not interested in Jon/Dany, and it’s weird how Danny’s fear of losing power is making me dislike her.

Jaime is so interesting. Apart from pushing Bran out of the window, has he ever been evil? That incident now seems so out of character, though I’m hoping his treatment of Brienne is a Tyrion/Shay type move.

Not Missandei died in chains. Really?! It’s a senseless death, too, as it serves no real story point.

Cersei better have a gruesome death.

Yes. At this point, it's Christie, Turner and Williams for me.

I'll add to the choir of Harrington and Clarke having anti-chemistry. They are as sexy as two rocking chairs rubbing against each other (even minus the familial angle).

Missandei hit me really hard. I wasn't expecting to have such visceral reaction to that, but I did.

Also, as great as Christie was this episode, that response to Jaime leaving was total bull shit. No way Brienne would have reacted like that.

Last night, this show really smacked me in the face with the fact that two white men are writing it. Wow.

I always thought Jaime was too easily forgiven. He raped Cersei right after Joffrey died and while I don't think she was ever good, I think that solidified her additional hate towards humanity. There's an interesting parallel between power corrupting Cersei/Dani and Jaime/Jon being increasingly OK with it. I'm thinking the show is leaning towards an "absolute power corrupts absolutely" final arc.

I’d forgotten about the rape, which is bad of me though I was thinking more about what he’d done to non-Lannisters. Yeah he’s pretty bad, especially as it relates to Cersei. Or maybe he’s only good as it relates to Brienne and Tyrion.
