I'm sure it's very well done and all but malcolm, your description of it is literally why I haven't given the show a shot. I'm so far behind in TV watching that I'm not even sure I can pretend to be a fan of the medium like I once was, but I'd say there are three or four dozen TV shows I'd rather watch first.

I just (finally) watched "Lucy & Desi," and god BLESS Amy Poehler. That entire production was fucking wonderful, and I am even more in love with the greatest TV show of all time than I already was. And that ending hit me emotionally like a ton of bricks. I have not been that emotional at something for YEARS.

I am a little bummed that "Lucy & Desi" did not win Nonfiction Program, but I am glad it won for Score and Writing! TBH, I am sick of RuPaul winning. I have grown to have so many problems with the current state of RDR.

Happy for Lane! I have not seen the other three but am happy for them. How many Emmys does this make for Metcalf?

This is her fourth Emmy. She won three in a row for Roseanne but that was way back in the 90's. So she hasn't won in almost 30 years!
