Early word is that Supporting Actress is OVER and that she's going to sure win. But if The Color Purple could not get a Best Musical/Comedy Picture nomination at the GLOBES, I don't think she's a sure thing. |

RE: Precursor Awards (2023-2024)
Those initial "Color Purple will WIN IT ALL!" (most from GD) were ridiculous. Granted, this is most stacked that Comedy/Musical has been in years, but still...
I am very impressed with how much "May December" and "The Zone of Interest" are both showing up. **ETA: I know the Globes mean nothing, and this "Box Office Achievement" Award is bull shit, but I was more specifically talking about how much MD and ZoI has been showing up with other branches. |

No "Color Purple" is NOT good for that movie. OUCH! Categorizing May December as a comedy is certainly a...n interesting choice. I think it took itself way too seriously to be labeled any kind of comedy, but whatever. I don't like that Margot Robbie and Emma Stone are competing against each other here, but I guess if May December is a comedy, Poor Things probably is one, too, based on what I've heard. |

RE: Precursor Awards (2023-2024)
WHY THE FUCK IS FUCKING "PEACHES" GETTING FUCKING NOMINATED????????????????????????????
Also, remember when nominations used to be fun and filled with atypical nominations and not just those vying for the Oscar? |

RE: Precursor Awards (2023-2024)
I'm with you on "Peaches". It's half a verse followed by "peaches" 50 times that last 90 seconds. Funny in the context of the movie but annoying in any other. I was expecting a more complete song to come up somewhere in the movie when people were saying it's hilarious and should get Oscar-nominated before I saw it but it never happened.

RE: Precursor Awards (2023-2024)
I am happy that "Society of the Snow" is gaining traction, especially for Giacchino's score. I just watched the film and was pretty blown away by it. And the score is the best I have heard this year. The fact that Giacchino is getting attention for another plan crash narrative is pretty lol funny as well.
