RE: Precursor Awards (2023-2024)
I know. LOL! But at least it is different. All the rest of them are just becoming ZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
I do not think Efron is completely out of the realm of possibility. Crazier things have happened, though the Globe nod missing is a biggie. I am gonna predict Efron, Sessa, and Huller as a double nominee as my NGNG predictions this year. And something crazy is gonna happen in Director, but I don't know what. |

I know different strokes, but I just cannot understand why there is a overwhelming support for "Oppenheimer."

RE: Precursor Awards (2023-2024)
Remember when the BAFTA longlist of contenders was not just mostly Oscar contenders? I miss that first year when that was the case.

RE: Precursor Awards (2023-2024)
I really did think there would be a different winner for a major category when televised awards started, but that is not the case this year. I do not remember a year where the winners are already determined by January 10.
Oppenheimer Nolan Murphy Gladstone Downey, Jr. Randolph Please bring on next year. |

RE: Precursor Awards (2023-2024)
I don't think Murphy or Oppenheimer or to a lesser extent, Lily Gladstone are 100% done deals yet. The rest of them are though.

RE: Precursor Awards (2023-2024)
It also wouldn't surprise me if Nolan, who has always had pushback from Academy members, is denied an Oscar win in Director so they can give Scorsese #2. I'm not predicting it at this point, but I could see it happening.

RE: Precursor Awards (2023-2024)
I hope y'all are right to add some spice, but it is also because I loathe "Oppenheimer" and definitely need it to lose at least one of those three (Picture, Director, Actor). I just...do not see that happening.

RE: Precursor Awards (2023-2024)
Why are the Globes still 'a thing' to where they attract big stars and such? It has a known history not only of being bought off, but of the racism scandal from 2 years ago. It seems odd to me how they were able to weather all of that so quickly/easily.
