RE: In Memorium
The People Under the Stairs has to be among the 10 or so most underrated horror films ever. And he of course gave us Freddy and Ghostface, not to mention one of Meryl's Oscar noms! R.I.P.

RE: In Memorium
Her family has only announced it today, but Setsuko Hara died in early September. She's mostly known for her work with Ozu, but she actually worked with many of the major Japanese directors working in that era. She was 95, and had been retired from acting since 1962.

RE: In Memorium
Posted this in the Random Music Thoughts thread, but Scott Weiland, former lead singer of Stone Temple Pilots during the band's prime, died yesterday.
http://www.nytimes.com/2015/12/05/arts/m....html?_r=0 I know I listened to the bands first two albums a lot during the mid-90s, even though I was like 12. I still have them digitally now in iTunes/on my phone. |
