Oscars 2016
Is it too soon to start looking ahead to next year? Lol.
Jean-Marc Vallee has directed 4 different actors to Oscar noms in the past 2 years (with 2 of them winning). This year he has a movie coming out starring previous nominees Jake Gyllenhaal and Naomi Watts and previous winner Chris Cooper. Watch out? |

RE: Oscars 2016
All I know about next year is that Sandy Powell will most likely get another Best Costume Design Oscar nomination for Cinderella.

Not an Onion article: Vin Diesel predicts Furious 7 to win Best Picture at the Oscars.
I haven't seen it but I'm pretty sure the Academy has nominated worse films than that. |

Quote:8. Did I mention that this is not a concert… not a stand-up venue… not about pandering to people who will never watch a stuffy old awards. It is about making a great show for the 40 million or so people who will not miss a stuffy old award show under pain of death. AMEN!!!!!!!!!!! |

RE: Oscars 2016
The Joy movie in the article dug posted just makes me roll my eyes. They're still intent on having Lawrence play older than she is. Granted, she's getting there, but she doesn't have the wisdom or years behind her to pull off these mature beyond her years roles.
