Not living in New York, I won't be able to see this production (although I read it will tour, so hopefully it will come to my city). I'm really happy to see Deaf West's production become such a success. |

I wonder if we'll see black actresses take both lead actress trophies with Erivo being praised to the heavens and Lupita surely to be in competition for "Eclipsed". Erivo is ahead in lead, and Featured Actress in a Musical right now looks to be a horse race between JHud and Renee Elise Goldsberry from "Hamilton." If the Tonys were tomorrow, I actually see all four musical acting Tonys going to black performers - Leslie Odom Jr., Cynthia Erivo, Daveed Diggs, and JHud/REG. |

Danielle Brooks graduated from the high school where I work! She had a great personality. We already have Patina Miller as a Tony-winning graduate. Maybe we can add another. |

Can anything beat Hamilton? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Yeah, that's a laugh.
But can it lose in any category? |

RE: Tony Talk: 2014/2015 season
It can definitely lose in Lead Actress. It will also probably pull a "Producers" and have multiple acting nods is at least one category, so that would give it some losses.

While I doubt it'll happen this year, if they brought the Chicago production of Carousel over, it would totally lose best actor too.

Actress in a Play will be a doozy, huh? Nyong'o, Ronan, and Williams have the most marvelous reviews. Who are the other two?

Isn't Ronan Featured? Jessica Lange is probably in.

That would be preferable. That way, I can root for both Saoirse and Lupita!
