Comics
I don't read comics regularly, but I do have my fair share of trade paperbacks (the most convenient way to keep track of stories, really), so I thought that there may be a few here who want to talk about random comics. My randomness for today....
- I am currently starting Alias, which I bought..... a long time ago. I was motivated to start because the television series, AKA Jessica Jones, will premiere later this year. So far, I enjoy it quite a bit. - Also, just found out that Storm has her own title, so I may get that one since she's always been my favorite. I've also wanted to try out the all-female led X-Men, as well, which I remember reading positive things about. There seem to be a MILLION X-Men comics, so I have no idea which ones I may actually enjoy. The downside of the entire comic industry, really, is that it is so difficult to really jump in because the history is often so convoluted. Also, they can be really expensive in order to catch up/keep going. - I fell WAY behind on Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Still on season eight. Is it still going? Is it good? I thought season eight got a little TOO fantastical with the giants and flying, and kind of stopped there. - Given Marvel's movies, I am also curious about checking out some comics for their current/future roster, mainly the heroines (who I've always found more compelling). Does anyone know a good place or collection to start with for: Black Widow Captain Marvel |
