RE: Vintage Emmy thoughts
I didn't realize M*A*S*H only won Comedy Series once, and that Alda only won Comedy Actor twice. For some reason I thought it was more lauded. It was consistently against All in the Family, Mary Tyler Moore, and Taxi, though.

RE: Vintage Emmy thoughts
I just watched Archie Panjabi's win and speech, and she and Margulies clearly got along well at that time:

RE: Vintage Emmy thoughts
Here's an interesting incident at the 1985 Emmys.
Betty Thomas just won the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series Emmy for Hill Street Blues and some guy beat her to the podium already trying to accept the Emmy "on her behalf". |
