I guess I have found it somewhat a blessing in disguise when things like this come out because it does highlight the prevalence of it that exists. So if they can find a teachable moment here and work on that then there can be some good. |

I stayed up very late last night. Rough way to lose it. Familia has been so good in the playoffs, he was bound to have a letdown.

RE: Baseball
Did you make it through the whole thing? I crashed before midnight. Gut-wrenching loss but also a fantastic WS game overall. Inside the park HR. 14 innings. The Royals' pitcher's personal tragedy. Fox losing power. Hoping for deGromination tonight.

RE: Baseball
I missed the first 2 innings, but then I did watch until the end.
The extra innings were tough to watch. The Mets seemed to be getting out of one jam or another every inning and then went 1-2-3 when they would bat. |

RE: Baseball
Pretty excruciating series for Mets fans. We had leads in all 5 games. Lost the lead in the 8th once and the 9th twice. Errors (whether the scored as such or not) played roles in all 3 of those losses.
So many things you can pick apart, but in the end the team overperformed just to get to the Series, where they got beaten by a better team. It was a thrilling run. |

RE: Baseball
They totally imploded. No way did they deserve to win. Mismanagement, sloppy errors...KC totally dominated. Hitting machines indeed. Onward!

RE: Baseball
I'm not a giant baseball fan, but I went to college in Chicago and loved going to Wrigley Field. I really do love the Cubs and wanted them to win so badly and wanted it for Chicago. Twenty minutes after the game, and I just finished crying. 108 years, and THE STREAK IS OVER!!!!! Best. game. EVER!!!!!!!
