Emmys so white. I at least thought Michael K Williams would get in there.

Last year Schitt's, Succession, and Watchmen basically all swept.

This year Ted Lasso, The Crown, and Mare have swept to this point (not to mention John Oliver). It's just so blah (and white).

FUN FACT: The fourth season The Handmaid's Tale is now the biggest loser at the Emmys having 21 nominations and not a single win. The record was previously held by the fifth season of Mad Men which got 17 nominations without a win.

I fucking loved both Ted Lasso and this most recent season of The Crown, so I'm thrilled with all those wins!

I was rooting really, really hard for Brett Goldstein, Hannah Waddingham, Jason Sudeikis, Josh O'Connor, and Tobias Menzies, so those wins all made me so happy. I might have preferred Emma Corrin to Olivia Colman; however, Colman was also fabulous, and I really wanted to hear her quick, bleeped tribute to Michaela Coel. And the one acting category Ted Lasso didn't have a lock on was the one Jean Smart had on lockdown, and she deserved it so, so much.

Really, I loved all the comedy and drama series wins!

Scott Frank's completely indulgent, UNENDING fucking speech...oh my god, get the fuck OFF the stage. I was ready to tackle him myself.

I was rooting slightly more for Kathryn Hahn because she is ALWAYS amazing, but Julianne Nicholson was equally deserving – thrilled for her. I didn't see Halston, so I have no opinion on Ewan McGregor's win; I wouldn't have minded a Paul Bettany win (as much of a Hamilton fan as I am, I wasn't really rooting for any of the actors since I don't think they really should've been nominated for stage performances), but this category was much less interesting than its female counterpart. Really, the only two wins I was disappointed with were those for Evan Peters and Kate Winslet. I just found Peters to be kind of there, and I laughed when the climactic moment for his character came; Paapa Essiedu really, really, really should've won that award. And Kate Winslet was just a lazy choice; she was good, but she focused so much on getting the accent right that the rest of her performance wasn't as connected. I didn't see Erivo, but Winslet would easily rank behind Anya Taylor-Joy, Elizabeth Olsen, and Michaela Coel. I am happy The Queen's Gambit won, though; I loved it so much.

My favorite win of the night, though, because it was so unexpected? MICHAELA COEL!!!!!! I absolutely screamed when Patrick Stewart said her name! Oh my god, and her speech was absolutely perfect. I am SO, SO, SO OVERJOYED she was rewarded for the brilliant work she did on her show, and I cannot wait to see what she does next.

Debbie Allen and her speech...incredible. Honestly, after Coel, Allen's speech was probably my favorite.

Overall, I'm a happy camper with these.

The Crown's success is notable (ditto Downton Abbey's previously). The emmys have a tendency towards laziness (see the nomination tallies), so the early signs of a sweep (or near sweep) in all three disciplines was disheartening. I don't even have an intrinsic opposition to sweeps. That said, something that had only happened once before two years ago (a show winning it's top seven categories) has now happened twice in two years.

That said, I'm so far behind my TV watching at the moment, so I shouldn't have an opinion. I'm running on fumes in peak TV (and suspect peak TV is running on fumes itself).

I am so glad that "Handmaid's Tale" went home empty-handed, as much as I love Fagbenle, Wiley, and Moss on the show.

THANK GOD for Michaela Cole winning to give this award SOME color.

Horribly boring winners list and one of the worst Emmys I have ever watched. And "Mare" was robbed of that final award. I tried watching "Gambit" this weekend and fell asleep THREE times. But, really, what a shitty list of winners.
